While Korean manufacturer LG is relying on its Explorer project to introduce a rollable smartphone in 2021, compatriot Samsung continues to focus on its foldable technology.
Since September 18th, you can enjoy the brand new Galaxy Z Fold 2, the replacement for the first fold. In the meantime, Samsung had time to showcase its Galaxy Z Flip, which is still a foldable smartphone, but this time on the horizontal axis. If you’ve ever had the chance to look at these smartphones this is an incredible experience, but the price is right up there. For a Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the best price € 2,020.00 at Samsung.
Huge, isn’t it? Well, that’s not all. Samsung is used to devoting a few even more high-end models to the Chinese bourgeoisie, it’s the Galaxy W range (and we’re not talking about the i8150). This range of smartphones offers very high prices for unusual features.
In November 2018, the Korean company presented its Galaxy W2019 in particular, an ultra-luxurious smartphone that sells for 10,000 yuan or around 1,260 euros. One price that seems perfectly normal today, but was significant at the time since the very high end of the moment, was the Galaxy Note 9, which sold for 1,009 euros.
This year, Samsung is returning with this area reserved for certain privileged people. The company presented its Galaxy W21. At first glance, it’s a revamped Galaxy Z Fold 2, the price of which has increased dramatically. Indeed, while the Galaxy Z Fold costs 2 € 2,020.00The upgraded version pushes the boundaries by selling at 19,999 yuan for around 2,552.78 euros.
On Twitter, the @IceUniverse account got their hands on this phone and confirmed that it is much larger than the classic Galaxy Z Fold 2. Why ? Unfortunately we don’t know the answer.
What? Samsung W21 is actually bigger than Fold2! pic.twitter.com/IIk1mxAI04

Samsung, for its part, did not provide a full technical sheet, but we were able to gather some information and put it together into one. This Galaxy W21 would have a screen of 6.2 inches for the outside and 7.6 inches for the inside with a refresh rate of 120 Hz (same goes for the Galaxy Z Fold 2).
In terms of battery, the Galaxy W21 has a smaller 4390 mAh compared to the Fold 2’s 4500 mAh. We won’t continue the comparison as all the specs are practically the same. Few details about the design lead Samsung to release such a price for this smartphone.
