This is a new original option that will be available in Stadia in October. With Crowd Choice, the audience of streamers can make decisions live during the broadcast. If the game is compatible, the creator can enable this feature and viewers can vote on actions to be taken later in the game. However, streamers remain the sole masters and decide whether or not to follow the decisions of their followers.
Stadia is fighting to get started, but Google is not being discouraged
It will start today with the arrival of the horror game Dead in daylight on Stadia Pro, which will integrate Crowd Choice. For example, the audience can decide whether the streamer plays the killer or one of the four survivors who try to escape him.
Subscribers to the Google platform benefit from this new option in Baldur’s Gate 3 from October 6th. For the latter, viewers can vote to influence the creator’s narrative decisions. So they will choose who the hero will fall in love with, his friends, his enemies … The whole promises more interactive directness and a stronger bond between the creators and their communities.
In addition to these two games, the Stadia Pro catalog will be enriched with new titles starting October 1st, including: Celeste, Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris, Jotun, Superhot: Clear mind control and people fall flat.
The service is still having issues starting, but Google seems determined to register over time as a result. Little by little, new options are being added, and we recently told you about this test launched by Google that allows you to play on Android smartphones with a 4G or 5G connection. Previously a WiFi connection was required. You can now also connect the Stadia controller and an Android smartphone without using a cable.
