Update # 1: The title of the sequel is official Borat: Gift of the pornographic monkey to Vice Premier Mikhael Pence to support the recently diminished nation of Kazakhstanafter a now deleted WGA filing. The script is written by Sacha Baron Cohen, Anthony Hines, Dan Swimer, Peter Baynham, Erica Rivinoja, Dan Mazer, Jena Friedman and Lee Kern with a story by Sacha Baron Cohen, Anthony Hines, Dan Swimer and Nina Pedrad. See the original story below.
In a nice surprise that premiered on election week on a streaming service, it became known today that Sacha Baron Cohen not only secretly shot a sequel to his hit mockumentary from 2006 Borat: American Cultural Insights for a Glorious Nation in Kazakhstanbut it’s already completed.
Collider got the report and we can also confirm that a test screening took place last week. In a meta-story, the movie Borat follows as he is now a famous character. In order to hide from the public, he pretends to be someone else. We have learned from sources that Trump and Epstein’s relationship, as well as the coronavirus in the main narrative, is best left untouched with cameos from Mike Pence, Rudy Giuliani, and others. We also learned that one of the cameos yet to be revealed could potentially ruin a political career, and we envision some setbacks and lawsuits to follow.
While the test screening didn’t reveal who ran the sequel or which studio was involved, the original was directed by Larry Charles and grossed over a quarter of a billion dollars at the box office worldwide. We imagine that those who support the project will want it close to the elections in view of the conspiracy. So expect to hear the official news soon. In the meantime, check out some footage captured on the set earlier this year.
