This new product range is available from 379 euros (Reno 4Z) and up to 799 euros (Reno 4 Pro) and therefore covers a wide range. Oppo relies on what it does best: design, screen, software and a fast charging system that all manufacturers envy. You will understand that there is something for everyone in this new Reno 4 Series range.
Reno 4 Pro: the new star
The highest premium of the three brothers is therefore the Reno 4 Pro. Wear her dress Reno Glow (Frosted glass texture mimicking diamond, eliminates fingerprints), it is characterized by its ultra-high quality appearance, which is supported by its well 6.5 ‘3D curved AMOLED display‘(90 Hz, HDR10 +) punched. Its light weight (172 g) and its great finesse (only 7.6 mm thick) contribute to this attractive aesthetic. The whole thing is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, the Reno contains 4 Pro a Snadragon 765G chip (Adreno 620 GPU), the same configuration as Google Pixel 5. The processor has 12 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.1 memory. Cozy.
The Reno 4 Pro uses Oppo’s expertise in terms of battery and therefore has two blocks of 2000 mAh each. This enables him to make his own available Super VOOC 2.0 65 W charging system promises a charge of 0-27% in 5 minutes, 0-60% in 15 minutes and 100% in 36 minutes. New entry !
Photo page, Oppo relies on a triple module Almost indispensable in 2020. We find a wide angle of 26 mm (f1.7) with optical and digital stabilization in connection with a Sony IMX586 sensor with 48 Mpx (1/2 ”; photo side of 0.8 μm). It is complemented by a 16mm ultra wide angle (f / 2.2), which is accompanied by a 12 MP IMX 708 sensor. A 52 mm telephoto lens (f / 2.4) with a 13 MP sensor completes the whole thing. On the front, a 32 Mpx front sensor records your most beautiful selfies.
Obviously, the manufacturer has integrated a whole range of recording modes and insists on video functions, especially with a new night mode.
Reno 4 and Reno 4Z: cheaper but just as sexy
The Reno 4 is cheaper than its big brother and still attractive. It is just as thin and light 6.4 inch screen but must be satisfied with a 2.5D curve. If the same processor is on board, the storage space is 128 GB and the RAM is 8 GB. The screen rests on it. always on an AMOLED panel but is limited to a display frequency of 60 Hz. You have to know how to make sacrifices.
Oppo also quickly cuts in the photographic part. If the Reno 4 has all the features of the Pro version, its sensor trio has changed. The main sensor goes to 48 MpxThe ultra wide angle at 8 Mpx and the telephoto lens are replaced by a black and white lens with a 2 Mpx sensor. On the front, the manufacturer opts for a double sensor of 32 + 2 Mpx.
For the cheapest model, Oppo had to keep costs as low as possible. So the Reno 4Z has to be satisfied with a 6.5 inch 120 Hz 2.5 D LCD display and a lower quality coating (like the Reno 4 for that matter).
The biggest sacrifice is the charging system, Oppo is happy with a classic 18 W fast charger. Under the hood, the Chinese trades Qualcomm’s technologies for a Dimensity 800 chip from Mediatek. It comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
The photo module consists of four sensors. Make no mistake, the number doesn’t make the quality. There is thus a main sensor of 48 Mpx, a second one of 8 Mpx associated with an ultra wide angle lens, a monochrome (sensor of 2 Mpx) and a vintage monochrome (sensor of 2 Mpx). At the front, Oppo relies on a dual 16 + 2 Mpx module.
