Microsoft has just formalized the imminent availability of a brand new addition to its Surface line of products, the Surface Laptop Go. For Microsoft, it’s about offering the Surface Latop “The lightest and at a low price”. Surface Laptop Go is one of the cheapest models in the entire product range from 629 euros.
The Microsoft-style Chromebook?
On the other hand, Microsoft’s new Surface Laptop Go has a 12.4-inch PixelSense (1536 x 1024 pixels) touchscreen, not to mention a trackpad and keyboard that promise both “Precise and Fast”. Visually, Microsoft’s new PC clearly shows some fake Chromebook tunes, but here it is obviously supported by Windows 10 and not Chrome OS.
There is a fingerprint sensor on the keyboard that lets you unlock the computer when you unlock your smartphone, not to mention a 720p HD front camera. Everything is powered by a 10th generation Intel Quad Core i5-1035G1 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage. You can opt for a version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB in SSD, but for a price of 799 euros anyway.
“The perfect balance of style, performance, and versatility, Surface Laptop Go is the most affordable Surface Laptop without compromising the performance requirements at the heart of Surface DNA.” Microsoft explains.
Microsoft’s new creation will go on sale in France on October 27th. The Surface Laptop Go will be available in different colors, namely Ice Blue, Sand and finally Platinum. It remains to be seen whether this new Surface Laptop Go will appeal to those looking for a small laptop for office-only use. Note that in the US this new laptop made in Microsoft is displayed at $ 549, compared to € 629 in France.
