This Tuesday, October 13th, Apple unveiled its new iPhone 12 series at a keynote speech that has been postponed for several weeks due to the global health crisis. The Apple brand has formalized four new models, represented by the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
As usual, Apple has touted its new A14 Bionic chips as well as the overall performance of its new devices. Other than that, the brand’s latest iPhone 12 and 12 Pro are not performing as expected according to the popular AnTuTu benchmark. It seems that the manufacturer’s latest internal processors are not performing as well as its competitor Snapdragon 865. The latter is the newest chip from Qualcomm and equips a large part of the Android smartphones that are in the same niche. than current iPhones.
The iPhone 12 on par with the Xiaomi Mi 10
On AnTuTu, the iPhone 12 receives 564,899 points compared to 572,133 points for the iPhone 12 Pro. In comparison, the best smartphones running Android achieve average results of over 660,000.
According to the benchmark, the two smartphones from Apple are not even among the ten most powerful smartphones on the market. In relation to the example, the iPhone 12 is roughly on par with the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, while the OnePlus 8 is slightly ahead of the iPhone 12 Pro. The latter still overlooks the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 models introduced by Samsung this year.
In comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro Max scored 536,883 points on AnTuTu. In October, the same benchmark stated that the best smartphones in the ranking all had a Snapdragon 865 or 865+ processor. We remind you that it is important to handle this data with care.
As a reminder, pre-orders for the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro will start tomorrow Friday at 2:00 p.m. CET and will be available from October 23rd. The other two models will be released on November 16. In the meantime, you can always read some comparisons between the different versions to learn more about these four new models, all of which come with 5G.
