On November 10th, players around the world can install the new Xbox Series S or Series X in their living room. While some American media already have the machine in their hands (the first tests of the Xbox Series X can be found here), Microsoft is refining its strategy with a Sony that appears a little helpless (and winner) from the Redmond giant for a few days in the face of repeated attacks .
The increasingly important Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
After announcing the Bethesda buyout and the upcoming launch of new titles in Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft is now confirming the integration of EA Play in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on November 10th. If the introduction of EA Play in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate was already known, the fact that the latter will take effect on the day the new Xbox becomes available is obviously symbolic.
“We have partnered with Electronic Arts to offer PC members an EA Play membership to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass at no additional cost. Today we officially announce that EA Play will be available on Xbox consoles, including the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, starting November 10th. explains Tom Taillandier on behalf of Xbox France. Note that EA Play will be available on the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate PC in December.
Remember that since September 15th, the same Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also integrates xCloud, the ability to play 150+ Xbox / Xbox 360 / Xbox One games on an Android smartphone through the magic of the cloud. For Microsoft, the goal is to link an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account to as many Xboxes in the market as possible.
And we have to admit that the service, which also includes Xbox Live Gold and which is almost indispensable at the moment, will clearly no longer be separable from an Xbox console as of November 10th.
