A new chapter for Die Hard Saga? Not immediately. However, actor Bruce Willis took over his icon from “Crystal Trap” for a periodical advertisement.
Grenades, masterful explosions, hunting: John McClane is back, but only for two minutes. Bruce Willis once again slipped into the skin of his cult character during an advertisement for car batteries and parodies the famous film “Die Hard”. Fans of the saga will be happy about the many references, including the famous “Yippee-ki-yay” line. They also instantly identified two other characters from the 1988 film: De’voreaux White, aka Argyle, the limo driver, and Clarence Gilyard Jr., aka Theo, the trunk piercer.
It must be said that since 2013 fans have been hoping to spot other films in the franchise. In 2018, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura announced a sixth episode that would have been half sequel, half prequel. The viewers would have traveled between the past and the present, discovering both John McClane’s first steps in the police force and what he would have become at the age of sixty. Since then, the project seems to have stalled. (Belga / Belga)
