Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are the proud parents of a small river. And it was the director Victor Kossakovsky who released the song during the Zurich Film Festival.
During the press conference of Russian director Victor Kossakovsky, whose film “Gunda” was produced by Joaquin Phoenix, he announced that the couple had “just had a baby” and even stated that he was a “beautiful boy named River”. This name pays homage to Joaquin Phoenix’s big brother, actor River Phoenix, whom we saw in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” by Steven Spielberg or “My Own Private Idaho” by Gus Van Sant.
This rising Hollywood star died of a drug overdose in 1993 while leaving a Los Angeles nightclub. He was only 23 years old at the time. Joaquin Phoenix had also paid tribute to his missing brother when he won his Oscar for Best Actor on “Joker”. “I’ve been selfish, cruel, difficult. I’m not a role model. But a lot of people here have given me a second chance, and I think you’ll find the best in everyone there. If you support each other.” When he was 17, my brother wrote these lyrics: “Run for love and peace will follow.” Thank you very much.”
Rooney Mara and her husband met on the set of the movie “Her” in 2013, but they have remained extremely discreet about their personal lives. (Belga / Belga)
